My wife and I visited NYC last month to see a couple of Bradway shows. While there we visited Brooklyn Heights in Brooklyn. A well-designed neighborhood with high density housing, affordable apts. and condos for sale. Parks, cafe’s and even a local bar where we had lunch and a cold beer watching the football game.
This is similar to the plan with the Form Based Code for Taft Corners in Williston. I support this over allowing more urban sprawl in Williston. The town worked very hard on the growth management plan.
We cannot allow developers to hire paid lobbyist to bypass the Towns Growth Management Plan. The lobbyist are trying to push through more urban sprawl such as the Glasser Property development that ignores to take into effect town services such as police, fire, water, sewer, traffic and other considerations the town tries so hard to control.
As a town select board member, I will vote NO to out of control urban sprawl in our beautiful town and protect the rural landscape. As I have proven on the farm, farms can be community gathering spaces and be profitable to keep the land open.

In order to ensure that we have a healthy supply of cut your own trees in the future we have made the decision to close for the remainder of the year. Thank you for your support. We wish we had more trees to sell, it takes such a long time to grow up a single tree.

Welcome to the Isham Family Farm blog. The Farm is excited today to feature the Green Mtn Swing Band performing between 1-4pm this afternoon.

Green Mountain Swing is an all-volunteer, 18-piece big band.  We play music from the swing era, when swing was king, as in the immortal bands of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman and others.  We also include music from the “bop” and “post bop” periods which followed and throw into the mix many modern tunes and music from the Latin field.  Here’s our Repertoire.  You can also listen to several recent recordings.

The first of 3 FALL FESTIVALs is happening this Sunday, October 2 at the Isham Family Farm. Super excited to be hosting Maudite Poutine (yummy!), the S.Burlington Moose Lodge will be serving burgers and dogs, Crazy Cotton Candy Lady, vendors, corn maze and music by the high-energy Gaelic music of Footworks . If you are watchful, you might see a moose wandering around at the farm that day. 1-4 pm.
Also coming all 3 weeks is the Vermont Maple Creemee truck, fresh produce and meat from the Lalumiere Farm in North Ferrisburg, cider donuts, baked goods, crafts and more.

The Isham Family Farm Corn Maze is opening Saturday, September 3, 2022 with the hours noon-5pm daily.

The objective of the maze is to find the 5 Vermont animal signs:
Geezum Crow  –  Holy Cow  –  Varmit  –  Wood Chuck  –  Critter

Also to locate the 4 B’s signs:
Birds  –  Bees  – Butterflies  – Bugs

The maze is only 2 acres, small enough for younger children. There are several signs located through-out the maze to help provide direction and entertainment. Please use indicated Entrance and Exits only. Please stay on trails in the corn maze. No exit or entry from edges of corn or farm field.

Cost is $5 per person  $20 per family

Hello Folks

Sadly, the blueberry and raspberry season is already coming to a quick ending. Few blueberries left of the Blue Ray variety, have to search for the elusive blue ones already. Thanks everyone for such a great season. Shall remain open for approx another week for those that need the last berries of our short season.
